pastel sweaters

While I’m in a warm state of Western Australia,  there are still places that are facing a spring like chill. With the colder weather in full force it can make it difficult to get into the summer time heat.
Recently, I’ve seen in stores bright and pastel colors to welcome in the warmer seasons. So, I figured a fun way to dress for the cold and still get into the spring/summer mood is by pastel sweaters.
Notably, the best item I’ve seen to capture the look is a pastel sweater. Not only are sweaters offered in several styles, but they come in multitudes of color. A cute baby blue, lavender, or princess pink can do wonders for ringing in the floral bloom. Best of all these sweaters can keep you warm while you add accessories.
To achieve this look simply, add pastel colored sweater to your outfit. Then  pair it with a neutral color. The contrast in colors can provided a soft and delicate look that supports soft-hue lighting.  This reflects a more muted look than the primary colors utilized in winter months.
When matching with pastel colors I normally “color block” with a beige, grey, burgundy, or brown. Warm weather seasons are months of fun for me, so I tend to add a print into the mix. Due to the colder weather I would spice up the look with warmer bottoms or shoes. For an example: leopard printed skirt, polka dot pants, floral leggings, or striped heels can add a great splash of excitement to any outfit. The mix print also contrast nicely with the outfit.
In the style set shown below I paired a pastel sweater with an animal print skirt. I then accessorize with pastel heels and hair clips. To neutralize or block I added a beige hand bag to do the trick.
