Bardot 2018

The term Bardot has stemmed from the iconic french model and actress, Brigitte Bardot. She was popularized for often wearing off the shoulder iteams sporting a bare look. The sexualized 1950’s style then evolved into current fashion statements.

The name Bardot then ventured to be a high brand clothing store. Bardot, the Australian brand often promotes styles from the famous namesake. There seasonal trends, especially summer and spring still showcase the infamous Cannes film festival look Brigitte pulled off.

Now in the 2018 spring and summer fashions have decided to reflect the off the shoulder look. Some stores are even calling these products bardot tops and dresses. So, the iconic look has made a comeback.

The off the shoulder style was one I decided to try. To style this bardot look I choose a lighter color dress. The pink and creme gingham pattern dress was to accentuate feminine style. Likewise, I choose a dress with girly frills on the bottom cut of the clothing iteam.

Since off the shoulder dresses normally have a straight cut often making it hard to make a figured tailor, I opted for a belt. I went with a pale pink waist tie belt to accentuate a formed look. I then paired the dress with a pair of light pink heels with floral designs for a fun mix of prints.  I then added more accessories to the mix with a pale pink sorority layered choker necklace.

This clothing  choice was the perfect summer outfit.

Seven For All Mankind

I’ve only worn jeans from four three different brands. Once I find a brand I like I tend to wholeheartedly committ to it. My wardrobe staple brands are like my life long relationships; dependable and always on my mind.

So, when it was time to get a pair of jeans I wouldn’t ruin out at the stables or rescue I decided to go with my all time denim must have brand, Seven For All Mankind. Since, its start in 2000 I have been a fan and ultimatly cherished every pair I’ve gotten from them.

Seven For All Mankind jeans have been a great fit and ultimatly good for a night out. Every pair I’ve gotten from them has been fit and detailed. The designers Dahan and Glasser saw the brand as a way to fufill the void that is often seen in denim appearal. They both sought to make there jeans specific to detail and with enhanced embrodiery to subdue the lull in contemporary denim markets.

My most recent pair of Seven For All Mankind jeans I’ve gotten was there camo denim jeans. The jeans are tailored nicley. They also host good embrodiery in a gold color in the signature “A” stiched on the pockets. Along with that the detailing on the jeans is subpar with adorable gold star studs along the pockets.

The jeans are great to pair with a bodysuit and heels. Personally I utilized my Shein mesh body suit with a pair of black platform wedges. This outfit is great for a night out in Perth.

Love the denim camo print trend right now and my @7forallmankind jeans! #fashionblog

Holiday Dress

With New Years right around the corner it is of uptmost importance to celebrate. One of the ways loads of people do so is with Holiday parties. This normally has a ridgid dress code of metallic and glittery dresses.

However, this year I decided to further myself away from the typical silver and bronze metalic look and go for a more softer party dress.

Notably, I still picked a statment dress to help me celebrate the new year, yet it was not loud with sequins and sparkles like mine in years past. I have so far found it away to stand out from the extensive amounts of glitter and club styles everyone else sports.

Instead, this year I opted for a bold color with hints of gold threading. I picked a hot pink skater midid flair dress. The dress incorperated a creme french drappery pattern. This pattern was highlighted with gold embrodery. The dress compared to other years is simpler and quiter. Yet, it is still in a fun color and with contemporary needle work.  I styled this outfit with nude heals. Also I added accents of creme and gold necklaces and bangles. This achieved look was fun and frilly.
